Lun is a vessel used in Gujarati Wedding. It contains coins or solid salt which would make sound when vessel is shaken.

Use

In olden days in Gujarat (India), some weddings were held during night. Thus groom' sister's responsibility was to make sound using Lun, to keep him awake throughout the wedding night. Which became gujarati tradition later on.
